Kelly IP is pleased to announce that Lauren Jancuska has been elected as the firm’s newest partner. Since joining the firm nearly five years ago, Lauren has established herself as a leader within the practice and has been a key contributor to Kelly IP’s continued growth and success in trademark enforcement and counseling.
Kelly IP Partner and Founder David Kelly said, “Lauren is a tremendous asset to the firm and has been instrumental in the success of our practice since she arrived. Her dedication to our clients and her ability to seamlessly navigate the needs of our diverse portfolio have made her an integral part of the Kelly IP team. We are thrilled to welcome her to the partnership.”
In addition to her client dedication, Lauren is recognized for her deep understanding of complex IP matters. Partner Stephanie Bald added, “Lauren possesses a rare depth of technical knowledge that sets her apart. Whether navigating intricate prosecution issues or crafting high-stakes enforcement strategies, her legal acumen and command of trademark law ensure our clients receive the highest caliber of representation.”
Lauren focuses her practice on trademark enforcement, counseling, and prosecution. She routinely advises clients on comprehensive brand protection and enforcement strategies, handling brand management and the acquisition of intellectual property rights. Lauren handles proceedings at all stages before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and has extensive experience managing foreign oppositions and cancellation proceedings through a network of international firms. Her background also includes significant work in civil litigation, allowing her to view brand disputes through a holistic lens.
Prior to joining Kelly IP, Lauren was an associate at a general practice firm where she focused on civil litigation and trademark counseling and prosecution. Earlier in her career, she served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Jeffery Geller at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making processes.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of American University Washington College of Law. During law school, Lauren worked as a research assistant and conducted extensive research into the First Amendment’s impact on trademark rights under Section 2(d) of the Lanham Act. She received her B.A. in International Relations from Saint Joseph’s University, where she served as captain of the women’s NCAA soccer team. We are incredibly excited to have Lauren as a partner and look forward to her continued impact on the firm.
